The questions we actually get
My scan tool has stopped communicating with a vehicle. What should I try first?

Check battery voltage (below 12.0V will fail many protocols), confirm the vehicle ignition state the procedure requires, and try the latest software update if available. If those fail, call us and we'll walk through it.
How does warranty work?

All equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty (typically 1–2 years). We handle the return process for you: you ship it to us, we return or exchange direct with the manufacturer, you get a working tool back.
Does ongoing support continue after the first year?

Yes — phone and software support is active for as long as your software subscription is current. The hardware is yours forever; the manufacturer's software library, security gateway access, and remote support all sit behind the annual subscription. We'll prompt you a few weeks before renewal so there's no lapse.
Can I pay for remote support on a specific vehicle?

Yes. Either pay-as-you-go via our OSCA remote diagnostics platform, or call us for a mobile diagnostic quote if you'd like us to come on site.
How do I update my tool's software?

Most tools auto-update over WiFi. For SD-card-based tools, we can post out update cards or guide you through downloading from the manufacturer portal. Call us if you hit an issue.
The tool won't activate after I enter my licence key. Help?

This is almost always a clock/date issue on the device, or a firewall blocking the activation server. We can diagnose this in a 10-minute phone call and resolve with the manufacturer directly.
Do you offer training if we buy a tool second-hand from another supplier?

Yes, on a paid basis. We're happy to train your team on any of the six brands we represent, whether the kit came from us or not.
