You buy the hardware once at £1,395, then choose the yearly licence tier that matches what your workshop actually does, Standard for occasional use, Plus for routine diagnostic work, or Pro for Security Gateway access on the brands that need it. Buy ICON with a Pro licence and Autocom drop in a free 3-month DD-TSB licence as well, useful if you want to road-test the technical service bulletin database before committing.
Get the job done, quickly and confidently
The selling point Autocom push is speed, and on the bench it stacks up. AutoVIN reads the VIN and pre-populates the vehicle, so you’re not typing or guessing. Quick Connect Bluetooth pairs the VCI on the first go instead of cycling through a list. Security Gateway is handled in software, no third-party hardware add-on. The smaller things add up across a working day.
Coverage runs to 23 electrical car brands and 10 truck brands once the licence is active. Specific manufacturer groups (the Stellantis, VAG, and Volvo cluster, plus a separate group of seven majors including Ford, Honda, Kia, Mercedes, Porsche, Renault, and Dacia) need the Pro tier with Security Gateway access to reach protected functions.
