The Pro tier is the licence to pick if your workshop sees modern vehicles week-in, week-out. Security Gateway access is the critical feature, without it, an Icon Car simply cannot communicate diagnostically with post-2020 Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, newer VW Group, or Renault platforms. With it, the same hardware that handles your daily fault-find work also handles authenticated procedures the dealer software handles.
Flight Recorder is the underappreciated extra. It captures live parameter data while the vehicle is being driven, so intermittent faults, the ones that never present on the bench, get caught the moment they occur, with a timestamp and trigger marker. The three months of DDTSB technical bulletin access is a nice cherry on top: factory-issued technical service bulletins for the platforms you’re already working on.
